02 ·What a Periodontist Does

Why see a periodontist in Richardson?

A periodontist is a dentist with advanced specialty training in the gums and the bone that support your teeth. Seeing a periodontist helps you treat gum disease early, protect your natural teeth, and keep your whole-body health in mind.

Gum disease is one of the most common oral health problems in adults, and many people don't know they have it. Bleeding gums, bad breath, gum recession, and loose teeth are all signs that it is time for a periodontal evaluation. Having a board-certified periodontist on our Richardson dental team means you can receive specialist-level gum care in the same familiar office where you get your checkups.
